Joel stone sandy beach 1000 islands and splash pad

Joel Stone Beach

Ideal for families, Joel Stone Beach has a dock, beautiful sandy beach and a splash pad. Public washrooms, open from May until October, and the close proximity to restaurants and more make this a great spot to spend the day.

Landon Bay Lookout 1000 Islands

Landon Bay

Pack a picnic and take the beautifully scenic drive down the 1000 Islands Parkway to Landon Bay, where a long, flat rock stretches far into the water and lets you jump into the waves.

Brown’s Bay

This sloping, sandy beach gets you access to the St. Lawrence River and you can even spot Singer Castle out in the river from the park! The park itself has amenities such as picnic tables, washrooms, a large parking area and play structures to keep everyone busy and entertained.

Charleston Lake

Charleston Lake Provincial Park has a gently sloping, sandy day-use beach available to the public on beautiful Charleston Lake. 

Access to the beach will require a day-use permit, which can be purchased at the camp office upon entry to the park. 

There are picnic tables available located above the beach area, with camp BBQs available for use as well.

Foley Mountain Conservation Park

The Foley Mountain Conservation Area has a great beach area that gives you access to the Upper Rideau Lake, featuring a beautiful nature swimming area and has picnic tables available for visitors to use. The conservation area also has multiple trails to explore, a scenic lookout point and an interpretive centre. Access to the conservation area requires the purchase of a day pass.

Grass Creek Park

With its large, sandy beach, picnic tables and play equipment, this is a great spot to take the kids. There’s an off-leash area so your four-legged friends can roam free.

Halstead’s Bay

Across from the Landon Bay trail system (part of the Thousand Islands National Park), you’ll love the large, sloping granite stones in the river, which has a sandy bottom after you wade out into the water. There is ample parking available.

Kendrik’s Park

This park, located in Lyndhurst, features a shallow, sand beach perfect for kids, play structures, washrooms, garbage cans, a canteen and pavilions that can be rented out for larger gatherings. There is a large parking area and a small fee to be paid for visitors from outside of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands.
